THE FOUNDATION

THE PURPOSE OF THE FOUNDATION

 

The Foundation will operate at all times exclusivly for the religious, charatiable, scientific or educational purposes described in its Articles of Incorporation, including:

a)    To support, benefit, care for and maintain the buildings and grounds of Meade Memorial Episcopal Church;

b)    To support and benefit the Christian Mission of Meade Church outside of the Meade Church Parish;

c)     To support and bebefit the restoration of Meade Church, and

d)    To support, benefit and administer specific thanksgiving and memorial gifts to Meade Church, so long as Meade Church qualifies as a tax exempt organization under Section 503(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.

The Foundation will engage in the solicitaion of gifts, fund raising, and invest the funds of the Foundation in banks and other insitutions that will all the Foundation to increase the size and amount of its resources.

There are many ways to become a part of the Meade Memorial Episcopal Church Foundation. You should consult your personal financial advisor or attorney to determine with is best for you.

Among these options are:

  1. GIFTS – Give cash, personal, or real property to the Foundation during your lifetime,
  2. BEQUESTS – Include the Foundation in your Will,
  3. LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS – Designate the Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy,
  4. CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUNITY – Create a charitable gift annuity naming the Foundation as the beneficiary.

Persons who bequeath a special end of life bequest should specifically direct it to Meade Memorial Episcopal Church Foundation, Alexandria, Virginia. This bequest will be used according to the instructions in your will and the policies and procedures of the Foundation.

The Meade Memorial Episcopal Church Foundation is now open and in the process of receiving gifts, bequests, and charitable gift annuities. The Foundation’s Board of Directors encourages you to consider this Foundation as you plan your charitable and testamentary giving.

It is our hope that the Foundation will grow and with your help build the body of Christ here at Meade Memorial Episcopal Church.
