Anna Mwalagho & the Afloetry Band

“Dance, sing, laugh and truly love, as this is the joy of life,” is the philosophy of Anna Mwalagho.  A native of Kenya, Ms Mwalagho  exudes her extraordinary talent for multi-tasking her artistic abilities into a breathtaking performance.  Along with the impressionable members of the Afloetry Band, which she founded, Ms. Mwalagho delivers her best in singing and reciting poetry in cadence with an African beat injected by the band.  To their credit, Ms Mwalagho and the band was the opening act to the international renowned legend of Afro Pop, Oliver Mtukudzi and the king of Afro Jazz, Hugh Masekela.  In addition they have performed at a host of famous venues such the Kennedy Center and Zanzibar Restaurant and Club.  Ms Mwalagho just released her new CD, “Haki-Justice.” Her debut CD, “Ukeli, which means truth in her native language, Kiswahili, was released in 2006.

Come and be engaged in a musical tapestry.
