ALIVE!
Child
Development Center: financial support through participation
in the annual Walkathon of ALIVE! Child Development Center,
a nationally accredited, full day pre-school/day care facility
serving children of the working poor in Alexandria.
Last
Saturday of the Month Food Distribution: volunteers to pack
grocery bags with canned goods, produce and dry goods on the
last Saturday of each month, 8:30-noon.

for senior citizens

and senior high school students meet periodically for spiritually
based, adult supervised social activities.

Daughters
of the King
|
The
Meade Church chapter of Daughters of the King sponsors a weekly
contemplative prayer group at which all women, men and youth who
seek to devote an hour to praying intentionally and thoughtfully,
using the Bible, are welcome. Leaders in prayer are trained to
help each participant understand the power and benefit of prayer.
Daughters
of the King is an international religious order of Episcopal and
Anglican lay women who have made a lifelong commitment to prayer
and service to their King, Jesus Christ. Any woman who has been
confirmed in an Episcopal church or any church in communion with
the Episcopal church is eligible for membership.

Episcopal
Church Women (ECW)
|
ECW
is a national organization of women within the Episcopal Church
that supports the church's mission through a range of programs
including prayer, service and education. All women in the Episcopal
Church are members.
Meade Church ECW meetings are held on the
first Saturday of each month at 1:30 pm.

Teresa's Guild
| St.
Teresa's mission is to nurture, sustain and strengthen the Christian
faith, and to enhance the ideals and canons of the Episcopal Church.
St. Teresa's
Guild supports the youth of Meade Church and the community, contributes
to the beautification of Meade Church, and supports funding raising
initiatives for material and financial needs of Meade Church.
